An affluent inner suburb situated in the heart of Melbourne, Armadale is a suburb that you shouldn’t miss out on. Armadale is located just a mere 7 km southeast of Melbourne CBD and is part of the local government of the City of Stonnington. Locals and visitors love Armadale because of its upper-class feels with a booming and bustling neighbourhood, which includes restaurants, cafes, health centres, high-end boutiques and shops, and spacious parks.

Areas we Treat

Sports physiotherapy is all about diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating injuries in muscles and bones that are caused by injuries in sports. Sports physiotherapists cater to athletes of all ages and athletic abilities, and they help you recover faster and better through their treatment program.

There are various phases when it comes to sports physio treatments and sports injury rehabilitation. Any injured athlete must undergo these phases before she can fully return to her sport.

  1. First Phase: Managing and controlling the pain and any swelling
  2. Second Phase: Improving or increasing the range of motion and flexibility
  3. Third Phase: Increasing strength
  4. Fourth Phase: Improving balance and training according to what your sport needs
  5. Fifth Phase: Gradually returning to your normal before-injury workouts or training

Yes. Both our Gold rehab subscription and pay as you go physiotherapy appointments are claimable with private health insurance. Initial physio appointments are claimed under code 500, and follow-up appointments code 505. We have an electronic HICAPS machine onsite for immediate claiming.

Sports physiotherapists like us can require you as little as 2 to 3 sessions of physiotherapy if your injuries are minor. The timeline and number of sessions that you would need to completely recover will depend on the kind of injury, its severity, and how fast your body heals. Serious or chronic injuries can take months and months of physiotherapy treatment before you get back to normal.

Several factors can determine whether an athlete is ready to return to their sport after incurring an injury. These include the following:

  • No more pain
  • No more swelling
  • You can put weight on the injured area without any pain or difficulty
  • You get your full range of motion back
  • You feel strong enough to do the exercises you’ve been doing before you got injured
