Athletes and fitness enthusiasts often experience the overuse of their muscles during training. This can cause your muscles to become painful, swollen, and tender to the touch. Incorporating sports massage and sports physiotherapy sessions in your regimen can help you balance your muscles, make them stronger, and allow you to train harder without injuries.

Camberwell, 3124

Immerse yourself in the captivating offerings of the suburb of Camberwell, a chic Melbourne suburb located between Hawthorn and Box Hill. A skip and a hop away from Melbourne’s business district and 4 kilometres away from Ashburton, Camberwell attracts visitors because of its modern flair and rich history. One interesting fact about Camberwell is that it has been named after a pub! You can’t find many suburbs named after a pub. If you’re looking for a place to wine, dine, and chat up a storm with your friends, visit the Camberwell Junction, where you can find the Camberwell Sunday Market and the Camberwell Fresh Food Market. Be part of Melbourne’s iconic culture by visiting the Art Deco Rivoli Cinema, which hosts celebrity-filled movie premieres and events.

We’re more than happy to be a part of Camberwell’s thriving and diverse community, being locals ourselves, by providing Camberwell residents with affordable, reliable, and excellent private athletic coaching, run and strength coaching, return to sports, and sports physiotherapy services.

Areas we Treat

Run Ready’s sports physiotherapists are ready to treat acute sports injuries such as the following:

  1. Dislocated bones such as shoulders
  2. Broken bones
  3. Fractures
  4. Concussions
  5. Plantar fasciitis
  6. ACL
  7. Sprains (ankle, etc)
  8. Rotator cuff tears
  9. Shin Splints
  10. Muscle overuse injuries

Chronic injuries are injuries that result from long-term use of certain body parts or from overuse. This is why chronic injuries are also called ‘overuse injuries’. These include tennis elbow,  arthritis, tendonitis, and runner’s knee, repetitive strain injury (RSI), and stress fractures.

Many clients don’t have the courage to book a sports physio appointment and choose to suffer in pain until they can’t take it anymore. This shouldn’t be the case. Here are the tell-tale signs that you need to seek professional help to manage and help you with your pain or sports injury:

  • On-going and recurring pain that has lasted for more than 2 weeks
  • You’re experiencing pins and needles or tingling sensations in your legs
  • You aren’t performing at your optimal level because of some discomfort or pain
  • It’s harder for you to balance
  • You’re experiencing inconvenience even in simple daily activities

Yes, Run Ready facilitates club injury insurance claims as long as we are informed in advance and are provided with the necessary and relevant documents and paperwork.

There’s a possibility of your injury hurting more after a session. The pain and discomfort that you’re feeling are not because your symptoms are getting worse; it’s because your muscles are being worked by sports physiotherapists through taping, sports massage, etc.
