Running Physio for Carnegie Athletes

Whether you’re running a marathon, a half-marathon, or running as a hobby, it’s no fun getting injured during your runs. Breaking or twisting an ankle, tearing your ACL, or getting shin splints can stop you from reaching your goals. Here at Run Ready, we offer sports-specific and holistic sports physio programs like running physiotherapy sessions for runners. We are dedicated to helping runners develop their skills, improve their speed, and beat personal bests while teaching and training them to run without incurring injuries.

Sports Injury Rehab around Carnegie for ACL Ruptures and Tears

One of the most common knee injuries that happen in runners and other athletes is the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear or rupture. The ACL is one of two very important ligaments that function to stabilise the knee joints by restraining excess knee movements. When you have an ACL injury, it can debilitate your athletic performance by restricting your movements and slowing you down. At Run Ready, the ACL injury is just one of the sports injuries we treat. Our sports physiotherapists near Carnegie will work on reducing inflammation, controlling and managing the pain, restoring your range of motion, developing muscle control, and teaching you how to care for your knee during and after sports injury rehab

VALD testing equipment include several devices (force plates, nordbord) which accurately measure strength, power and endurance capacities. Its real-time data provide unparallel insight into an athlete’s physical deficits and helps set training intensities and return to sport goal setting.
